Description:
Formed in 1997 by Lincoln Square locals Jeff and Julie Jenkins, the Midnight Circus provides delightful family friendly entertainment to Chicago at both private and city-wide events throughout the year. Originally created as a fundraiser for the playground in Welles Park, Circus in the Parks has grown into a major autumn event lasting more that a month. Each weekend, the group comprised of incredible international performers travels to a different park district and sets up their big top tent. The best part is that it's for a good cause--all proceeds go to the host park district. To date, the troupe has raised approximately $160,000 for park districts across the city. At $15 a ticket, you won't find a better deal for a weekend show. You'll see clowns, contortionists, jugglers, acrobats, and the occasional performing pitbull. It's truly fun for the whole family!
