Recently, River North's Cyrano's Bistrot closed its doors to revamp and reopen as Cyrano's Farm & Kitchen. Known for its signature southern French style, Cyrano's has been remade using century-old barnwood from Sandwich in an attempt to recreate the feel of a farm in Bergerac where chef/owner Didier Durand's family tree has its roots. You'll choose from a menu of spreadable pates in a jar (rabbit rillette), sandwiches (farm beef burger with foie gras, mustard, and dried cherry mostarda), and plats principal (ground coffee chicken, garlic, herbs de Provence, farm bread salad). The driving force behind Cyrano's renaissance: emphasizing eco-friendly farm-to-table cuisine.
