River West & Fulton Market District
This part of Chicago is home to some of the city's most coveted dining destinations. From the meat lover's paradise at Publican to a fusion of Latin flavors at Carnivale and the stretch of restaurants that line Randolph Street, River West and the Fulton Market District gives hungry people reasons to be very happy.
The neighborhood is also home to one of Chicago's most unique breweries: Haymarket. In addition to serving up small-batch beers, the brewpub hosts a Drinking & Writing theater program that dresses up the traditional bar experience with Shakespearean style. For a more exclusive night out, try The Aviary where reservations can only be secured day-of via email. Getting in is a challenge, but you'll sample some of the most elaborate and expensive cocktails in Chicago.
Further west, you
can find more than restaurants. The Bottom Lounge hosts a mix of alternative, hip hop and rock shows in an industrial-esque setting. The neighborhood is also welcoming a more upscale venue in the new City Winery at Randolph and Racine.
