Many tourists like to visit the Loop, but the South Loop has plenty to offer as well. Make sure to dedicate an entire day to the Museum Campus right on Lake Michigan, home to the Shedd Aquarium, Adler Planetarium, and the Field Museum. If you are ready for even more museums, the South Loop offers the Museum of Contemporary Photography and the Spertus Museum, which focuses on Jewish history and culture. Sports fans will also be spending some time at soldier field, especially during the fall months to support the Bears. During the summer months, you will surely have a unique experience at Northerly Island, a large peninsula that juts into the lake. The area has plenty of walking paths, open areas for picnics, great fishing spots, and a large pavilion that hosts fantastic concerts all summer. If you want to continue exploring Chicago's architecture, take a peak at the Fischer Building, check out large exhibitions/conventions at McCormick Place, or take the Chicago Riverwalk.
