Lincoln Park, one of Chicago's most well-known neighborhoods, has great shopping, entertainment, and food, and is home to DePaul University. The neighborhood is full of family-friendly activities, fun bars for the evening, and food options for everyone. Start your day at the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum communing with the butterfly's in the Butterfly Exhibit, then take a picnic to Lincoln Park (the actual park), and wander through the free zoo, and Lincoln Park Conservatory. This is a great option during the warm spring months. Also in the spring and summer grab fresh produce at the Green City Market, the largest market in the city, then take your treats to North Avenue beach, where you can catch a few rays and test your hand at life-size chess! If you are feeling crafty, drop by Lill Street Arts Center to admire the artwork and then take a class yourself. A few landmarks not to miss are St. Clements Church for its' mosaics and stained glass, as well as, the Elks National Memorial, a fantastic architectural structure build in honor of WWI veterans. Finally, in the evening catch a play at the Apollo Theater, or at Theater on the Lake during the summer months!
