No matter what kind of music you are into, you can find it live in Chicago on any night of the week. Chicago is home of the blues, so you will definitely want to check out Kingston Mines with its' two stages and two bars, as well as Buddy Guy's Legends. This rough around the edges bar hosts live jams every night and is home to some of Chicago's best blues and jazz musicians. If jazz is really your thing, there is no better place to go than Green Mill Jazz Club, not just for its gangster past, but for the insane number of amazing acts that grace this club every week. You may also want to check out Davenport's for some low-key, intimate cabaret music. For some modern rock and roll check out Metro or Double Door. For something more eclectic check out Schuba's, which also has some close connections with Lollapalooza. Lincoln Hall also never fails to satisfy, for its' fantastic acoustics and consistent line-up. If you are looking for more mainstream the House of Blues will never fail. If house music is what you are looking for, Smart Bar is a great choice, but get there early to avoid a long line!
