Defibrillator, also known as Dfbrl8tr or Dfb, works as a venue to present artists of all kinds and engage people in discussion about art. They focus on giving emerging Chicago artists opportunities to present their work (performance, visual, etc.). Check out their Volt series of workshops, lectures, or High Voltage, a festival of controversial performances. If you're a creative-type from out of town, Defibrillator is a great place to meet local artists. Stop by to catch Electrodes, the performances and installations in the front display windows, and get some information about what's new. You might even catch part of Rapid Pulse,Dfb's international festival demonstrating the vastness of performance art.
