If you like your gardens, manicured and virtually flawless, you will love to Mae Fah Luang. Fortunately the road to Mae Fah Luang is very picturesque and features a few interesting sites along the way, including the Doi Tung Palace (Pra Tamnak Doi Tung), hill tribe villages (Akha and Muser) and Wat Phra That Doi Tung located on top of Doi Tung Mountain - the highest peak in Chiang Rai Province. The gardens themselves are impressively tendered to and feature more than 70 species of cool climate and temperate plants from all over the world.
