Charlotte Hotels
Visitors will find just about every time of lodging in Charlotte, from skyrise hotels to bed and breakfasts to resorts, although the accommodations of choice typically are the downtown hotels. Many of the major first-class hotels call Uptown Charlotte home, including Marriott, Westin, Omni, Hilton and the Ritz Carlton. These are all conveniently located in Charlotte’s city center and within walking distance of many local attractions, restaurants and nightlife.
Since Charlotte isn’t located at the beach nor in the mountains, you won’t find much in the way of resorts, however, the Queen City does feature one of the best resorts in the southeast in the Ballantyne Resort. It is located several miles out from Uptown Charlotte but features a city in and of itself with shopping, golf, tennis, restaurants and nightlife. Although not near the number of bed and breakfasts travelers will find in some southern towns, Charlotte does offer a few bed and breakfasts, most notably the Duke Mansion.
