Two friends liked wine, and they also liked the beach, and decided why not combine the two? That's how Cava Wine Bar, a spartan yet surprisingly homey tasting room in the heart of downtown Capitola came to be. What started as a lemon-aid stand in San Francisco (literally) grew into a go-to destination for sampling wines born in the Santa Cruz Mountains and Monterey. Naturally, they pour tasters from all around the world, but stay true to their commitment to featuring the best varietals the area has to offer.
