Although it's technically not in Capitola, the Sunrise Café draws in hungry diners from all over the Central Coast, including Capitolans. Located in the tiny town of Soquel, Capitola's neighbor to the north, there is no better way to wake up then with a steaming cup of coffee and a plate loaded with American breakfast classics like pancakes, waffles, and omelets at this humble diner.
A signature Sunrise dish is its corned beef hash, a mountain of meat served with two eggs and toast, but they also specialize in Scrambles mixed with creative flavor combinations like pesto, mushroom, and avocado. They'll even substitute tofu for eggs to meet the needs of vegetarians and vegans.
Sunrise is simply a down-home joint with a back woods feel that puts its faith in the quality, and quantity, of its food. Instead of trying to impress its customers with flair and gimmicks, Sunrise wants its patrons leaving happy and full.
Lunch is served daily.
