Day 4 - Cancun
About 45 minutes south of Playa del Carmen, the ruins of Tulum sit on a cliff overlooking the sea. Though the setting is magnificent, the site is tiny and it gets crowded. Get there early, around the 8 am opening time to avoid the busloads. Once you´ve had enough, head further inland for another 45 minutes to the fascinating ruins of Coba. The ruins here are taller, older and more magical than anything else you´ve seen. Spend a second night in Playa del Carmen.
