Tulum
Two hours south of Cancún, Tulum offers two "Wonders of Mexico": its archeological site and the natural aquarium of Xel-Ha. Though increasing in popularity, it is struggling to retain its tranquil reputation, so don't expect the night scene to rival Cancun's or Playa's.
