It's about a 45 minute drive from Calgary to Turner Valley, but it's worth the trip for the Chuckwagon Cafe. This restaurant is as fresh as it gets: it raises its own beef. The atmosphere is great. Wood paneled walls, cowboy art, cast iron stove. It's classic Alberta culture. The restaurant serves all-day breakfast and lunch. The hamburger is beefy with fresh toppings and a zesty, red-colored relish. Definitely worth the trip out of town.
