Forget dress codes and month-long reservation waits. The neighborhood restaurants of Cabo San Lucas give you an authentic taste of life here. Rub shoulders, and possibly bump elbows, with locals as you dig into their favorite dishes, in their coziest dining rooms. Alcaravea Gourmet is the closest you'll come to a waiting list. This restaurant started as a food stand in a parking lot a few short years ago, and is now the hottest dining spot in town. Capo San Giovanni also offers high-end Italian dining, with terrific courtyard tables and one of the better wine lists in town. Sushimanias, located just off the town square, provides a little taste of Japan with excellent sushi and sashimi. For the best breakfast in town, try Mama's Royal Cafe. This restaurant becomes Felix' at night, but in the morning offers superb breakfast burritos and French toast. Mariscos Mazatlan is the favorite seafood stop for locals, and Salvatore's in the courtyard of Siesta Suites is known for their gigantic portions of delicious Italian food. El Pollo de Oro is famed for their pork ribs and fried chicken tacos. Lolita's is the place to go for chilaquiles, and Vero's has the best pizza in town.
