For those who prefer cozy atmosphere and artfully manicured gardens rather than Infinity pools and high rise pools, Cabo San Lucas offers a number of bed and breakfasts to please the seasoned traveler. Many are located in the downtown area of San Lucas, although there are also options with ocean views, and tourist corridor locations. What they all have in common is charmingly appointed rooms, often showcasing Mexican art and handicrafts, nice gardens and tile fountains, and a more homey and authentic feel from the large beach and hillside resorts. Perhaps the best of the bunch is Casa Bella, which is located on the town square at Plaza Amelia Wilkes. From the pool to the garden to the sculptures and fountains, this is a lovely property, with nice touches like the living area with a library, games, and television. Recline on one of the couches with a good book far from the madding crowd. Los Milagros and Norman Diego's Mexican Inn also provide excellent accommodation in the heart of the downtown area. The Mexican Inn has the benefit of being located on a quiet residential street, giving guests more of the authentic feeling of living in Mexico. Casa Contenta is one of the more unique properties on the list, since it was once a private home belonging to a Cabo San Lucas mayor. For those who don't mind the peace and quiet of the corridor, it is an excellent bargain.
