White linen, stuffy décor, strange sauces-not every restaurant is right for a traveling family. Fortunately, Argentina is a very kid-friendly place and the number of restaurants in Buenos Aires that welcome children is disproportionately high. Families with kids can be spotted in most eateries at all hours; couples hole up at corner tables with their sleeping babies even in the most romantic of restaurants. Although many foreigners may find the kid-friendly atmosphere, well, foreign, families will happily eat out just about anywhere without having to deal with stern glances from other diners. However, the menu can present a problem; children's menus are pretty much non-existent. For a stress-free meal where everyone can enjoy themselves, and find something on the menu to get excited about, visit Kansas, an American-style barbecue with burgers, fries, and onion rings on the menu. For pizza, order up a few pies at Avenida Corrientes' classic pizzeria, Las Cuartetas. And for steaks, burgers, chicken, and french fries galore, pick any one of hundreds of parrillas, like our favorite, Desnivel. There's no need to cry over spilled milk here-or scattered breadcrumbs, boisterous babies, squirming toddlers…
