Strap on your best kicks and get ready to boogie, cause Buenos Aires has some of Latin America's best dance venues. If endless rave-style nights of bumping along to electronic beats are your thing, check out Crobar or Pacha. Be sure to prepare yourself in advance-nights are late-late in this city and things rarely get going before 2am, wrapping up in time for breakfast the next day; after-hours get going around 8 or 9am at spots like Caix and are really only for the most hardcore late-nighters. Try your hand at tango at La Viruta, one of the more popular milongas among the younger generation of tango dancers. Fast-paced Brazilian samba is rising in popularity and can be sampled at clubs like Devenir Brasil and Maluco Beleza. Great DJs step into the box at the downtown, underground Cocoliche and The Shamrock Basement, the downstairs club at the popular Irish pub in Recoleta. For alternatives to the electronic scene, hang out at San Telmo's Guevara, a dive with cheap beer and live rock, or El Living, a video bar that churns out 80s and 90s hits for the hipster set.
