Description:
The Dagály was built after World War II just east of the Pest river bank and used to be a
strand (outdoor swimming complex) until the 1970s, sine when it has become a thermal bath fed by the same thermal springs that feed the Széchényi Bath. It now provides a full range of wellness and medical treatments including mud baths, massages, physiotherapy, and drinking cures.
The water is rich in calcium, magnesium and hydrogen chloride amongst other useful minerals making it ideal for treating joint and digestive problems amongst others. After soaking for a few hours, it leaves the skin feeling as soft as a baby's bottom!
The complex has 10 pools of various temperatures in the facility's pleasant picturesque surroundings, including several plunge pools, hot tubs, carbonated and iodine baths. In the park are two 25m swimming pools, a wave pool, an adventure pool, a splashing pool, and a shallow children's pool. These await guests with long opening hours from 6 am to 8 pm.
