It's not just the girls that want to have fun in Budapest! Because the city is favourably located along the river Danube with hills, islands and numerous parks, there is a lot more to do than eat out and visit museums! Activities range from „high altitude" in the Buda hills, through underground programs in the extensive cave system below the city to activities involving water.
Our top two fun picks are underground ones: Caving under a European metropolis is something you don't do every day! Squeezing through little tunnels will definitely get your adrenalin pumping, just as wondering about the dark tunnels of the Buda Castle Labyrinth. Drinking delicious Hungarian wine in a cellar from the 14th century is also top notch fun.
In fourth place is the Segway Tour, where not only do you get to take part in a guided tour around the city, but are given free time to play around with this interesting means of transport. Great fun!
In fith place is the Palace of Wonders. As the name suggests, you are in for an experience full of surprises and left wondering about the fascinating information you have just gained.
For the next two picks it's out into the open: Unleash your inner child racing the fountain on Liberty Square and sitting on the Children's Railway that takes you into the Buda hills.
Last but not least we chose two wet 'n' fun things to do: Széchényi; the largest thermal bath of the city and Aquarena; slides and whirl pools galore.
