The first things on our list of best active things to do in Bryce Canyon are the backcountry trails. The 23-mile Under-the-Rim Trail will knock your socks off. Be sure to check in with the rangers for ideas on how to connect the smaller but still rigorous loops, such as Riggs Spring and Swamp Canyon, to create awesome off-road thigh-burners.
Fairyland Loop, Peekaboo Loop, and the Rim Trail don't get as much traffic because they demand you work to enjoy them. Remember, Bryce Canyon is an amphitheater, and you start from the top.
