Hove

Hove is a largely residential area that borders Central Brighton and is primarily connected to Brighton by way of Seven Dials or Western Road. The Hove end of Western Road is arguably as good if not better than the Brighton end of Western Road, especially by way of restaurants. Further down past Palmeira Square, you will also find more restaurants and clubs, as well as a less busy seafront and potentially cheaper accommodation situated close to the action in Brighton and Hove.

If you find yourself in Hove, make sure to go to Hove Park or St Ann's Well Gardens for a bit of fresh air. Hove Park is enormous and perfect for a picnic. It's a bit of the beaten track but if you are staying in Hove, you can't miss this park. Just don't confuse the park with Hove Lawns, which is just a miniscule playing field.
