Although one of the newest attractions in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, the Omni Mount Washington Resort's Bretton Woods Canopy Tour has generated a buzz of excitement among travelers every since its start-up in 2008. The tour consists of a series of coated cable zip lines that stretch amidst leafy tree tops, platforms, and bridges that are 150 feet above the forest floor. The zip lines vary in length with the longest cable reaching 830 feet. Tour participants wear helmets and connect to the lines via secure hooks that allow them to "zip" along the cables at high flying speeds.
The trip not only satisfies the thrill seeker in all of us but also offers tremendous views of the rich forest canopy that has made this region of New Hampshire famous.
