North Breckenridge
In August of 1859, gold was discovered in the area that is now known as North Breckenridge. In fact, until Main Street was developed, this area was the center of town. North Breckenridge is far less developed. However, it is home to Ten Mile Drive, the 10-mile biking and hiking trail which travels from Frisco to Breckenridge. The Breckenridge Recreation Center is also located in North Breckenridge. Visitors can purchase a one-day or multi-day guest pass. There's also a park and playground behind the center. The Breck Inn is located across the street from the Recreation Center, and offers comparatively affordable lodging options. The free Summit Stage Bus stops in front of the recreation center on the way to the mountain, and in front of the Breck Inn on the way back to the mountain. If you plan to travel by RV, the Tiger Run RV Park is also in this area. This luxury RV Park is for self-contained vehicles. It boasts a clubhouse, and a swimming pool, as well as tennis, volleyball and basketball courts.
