Recently opened in Downtown Crossing, Scholars is a bit of a question mark. From the outside, it looks like a modern wine bar, but once you're inside, you realize it's enormous, two floors, brightly lit, and plays a weird mix of live reggae music. It's a bit of a mish-mash in there, but the drinks are stiff, and the cocktail menu is vast.
