If you are an easygoing person, stop into Frida's for a drink. It is located in the heart of the romantic zone and welcomes people of all types. It is known as a gay bar but it is also very straight friendly, the owner happily welcomes people of all shapes, sizes and nationalities. The atmosphere is extremely comfortable, go in with a good attitude and you will probably meet everyone in the bar. They have a house tequila that comes from a local farm; it is smooth and a deal at 20 pesos a shot. If you are a big Frida Kahlo fan come in and check out their latest t-shirt (every season they print a new shirt with a piece of Frida's art). It is also a good place to go if you want to talk with locals about Vallarta, they all love to chat and there are a handful of locals that frequent the bar.
