Just around the corner from the Los Andes University and down the hill from Monserrate, the Quinta de Bolivar was a gift from the newly independent nation to Simon Bolivar the liberator of Northern South America. The building is regal in style and houses some antiquities from the era but gives a good idea of how people lived back in the day…and take care to note the shortness of the great liberator's bed; he was not a tall man!
