La Mesa del Buen Vivir classifies itself as a restaurant that serves International Cuisine, which I guess means it touches on anything...and sure, this looks to be the case, as after a few staple Colombian offerings such as a starter of squid and shrimp and a main course of chicken in a passion fruit and chili sauce, you can see how the menu gets away from itself. This is not to say that the food is mediocre, no, far from it, it is absolutely first class and so if you find yourself far from home on Thanksgiving, why not stop in here and enjoy some grilled turkey! I guess this makes it International?The more discerning client could definitely pick out the lightly smoked trout as a mainstay of the restaurant, or the smoked BBQ baby back ribs. In short, there's something for every palate and yes, every Bon Vivant in town is here trying out their vast selection of wines.
And, we should probably mention the service. There's none better in all of Bogota. Why? Well, each table has their own individual waiter and their own individual sommelier.
