Poble Sec & Montjuïc
Barcelona's fastest up and coming neighborhood, Poble Sec is a genuine look into the heart of one of the city's most vibrant and exciting neighborhoods. This thriving area is home to Ferran Adria's newest restaurants, 41 Degrees & Tickets and has a wide range of tasty tapas bars, outdoor patios and trendy clubs. It's slightly off the beaten path, yet still close to the downtown core and only a stone's throw from the water.
Just a short walk from Poble Sec and you'll come upon Montjuic (Mountain of the Jews). The International Expo of 1929 as well as the '92 Olympics left this area full of large, new buildings, many of which are still in use today and some of which have been turned into Museums. If you're looking for gorgeous views of the city, this is an ideal place to come, especially during the evening when you have breathtaking panoramic views of Barcelona's city lights.
