One of Barcelona's trendiest and most exciting neighborhoods, Gracia is full of cozy wine bars, eclectic tapas joints and lively night clubs. It's one of the most local areas in the city, attracting less tourists, which often makes for a more relaxed atmosphere.
Our number four pick is the perfect venue for those looking to re-live the 80's. As you make your way into Gracia and up Gran de Gracia, Alfa Club is on your right hand side. This small, basement garage type bar, is lined with electric guitars on the walls and is packed to the brim come Friday and Saturday. Be sure not to wear anything other than jeans and an old t shirt and you'll fit right in.
Slightly more towards the Eixample neighborhood, our number six pick is known for being a gay bar, yet attracts plenty of straights as well. Arena is renowned for its 'go-go' dancers and excellent selection of top 40 beats. Whether, gay, straight or bi this is a fun Friday or Saturday night option.
Heading back into the heart of Gracia, our number seven pick is a unique option. Cafe Del Teatre, is a two story bar/restaurant. Its candlelit tables and warm atmosphere provide for a romantic and intimate ambiance, perfect for dates or just having a few copas with friends.
