The Thirsty Whale has long been praised by locals and visitors alike for its quality and consistency. In short, you can always anticipate a good, solid offering of tasty tavern dishes as well as enjoying leading local talent. Nothing fancy here in terms of food -- lobster roll sandwiches, homemade chowders and burgers. However, all meals are prepared with honest, tasteful ingredients and appetizing presentation. Families are welcome with coloring books, crayons and a special kids menu to keep the youngsters happy. On weekends, leading Maine Midcoast musicians perform some of the hottest jazz, rock and roll, blues and soul that can be heard anywhere. Of course, The Thirsty Whale also has a diverse offering of top shelf liquors, cocktails and craft ales on hand.
