Description:
Going of the beaten "temple path" you should visit Wat Ratchabophit Sathitmahasimaram, a Thai temple with a bit of Chinese character. King Rama V commissioned it in 1869 but it wasn't completed until two decades later. The round central building is quite unusual. Look for mother-of-pearl window panels on the ordination hall. The cemetery portion has some impressively large stupas, no doubt from some important and wealthy former patrons.
