If you find something sensual about sushi, this is a perfect romantic setting for it. Soft blues dominate the room and dark glass walls and wicker-enclosed lighting recreate the setting of a 2000 film by Wong Kar-Wai which hearkens back to Hong Kong in the 60s. Were you expecting Tokyo? And the chef/owner perfected his trade in Chicago. But don't expect the usual parade of California rolls, the creative menu is worth coming for even if your date cancels -- sit at the sushi bar. Try their signature Sweet 16 roll: with eel, spicy tuna, and avocado topped with a bit of chopped strawberries and shrimp roe. Sake is aplenty and ordering a carafe of it makes it a bit more affordable. A decent wine list and a full bar are also at your service. Just a short walk from Thong Lor BTS station.
