Known to be a live music bar, Ad Makers nevertheless has a Thai menu that alone would make a visit worthwhile. This place can be hopping with a crowd there for the awesome house band, or be really laid back and nearly empty depending on the time and day. Food is the focus during lunch hour, and at night customers come early to dine before the live music starts. Starting around 8 is a bit of country music or Thai acoustic tunes. Then at 10:45 Big Boy Band, Bangkok's greatest classic rock cover band takes the stage. On a slow night try to stump them with a request. The musicianship is excellent and they never fail to get people out of seats to dance. Ad Makers made a great name for itself on Soi Langsuan a few years back but closed while Quake opened down the block for about a year with the same format. That too closed and this new Ad Makers might finally have the right recipe. This is a short walk from Ploenchit BTS SkyTrain Station. The house band takes the night off on Sundays.
