Description:
The modern exteriors and pleasant design and decor don't suggest "hostel" but Udee is a Hosteling International (HI) member and offers a fine experience of Bangkok. Not far from the weekend market, Udee is tucked into Bangkok life. Dorm beds come in mixed or women-only rooms and a couple double rooms and a triple have private baths. Prices are very reasonable per person around 350 baht. Rooms have air-conditioning and dorms offer lockers (but you need your own lock). Coffee, tea and bread are served in the morning. The courtyard garden and rooftop make nice places to relax at the end of the day and a common area has cable TV, a full-size refrigerator and a microwave. Internet and laundry are coin-operated. Udee is a 15-minute walk from Saphan Khwai on the BTS line. Make a reservation by fax or email. The triple room is good for families and an extra bed can be requested in advance. Credit cards accepted with 3% surcharge.
