Canada House Gallery is not a gallery within Canada Place, as some people might assume. It is, in fact, on Bear St., just a few blocks from Banff Ave. in the middle of downtown Banff. This gallery one of Western Canada's most vivacious commercial art galleries, catering to the busy tourist market that frequents Banff. The list of artists on display is huge, owing to the fact that this is one of Banff's most established galleries. Canada House is a member of the Art Dealers Association of Canada, and it specializes in contemporary Canadian sculpture, paintings, and jewelry. The gallery itself is welcoming to all, and they keep it open 7 days a week. They focus on keeping the work original and individualistic in taste. While the gallery keep the showroom up-to-date and ever-renewed, they don't emphasize exhibits in quite the same way as some of the other galleries in Banff. But, that doesn't disqualify Canada House as a great gallery. In fact, it may well be one of Banff's most reputable dealers of art.
