The Rimrock Hotel has a reputation for great restaurants. The Eden, which is their fine dining restaurant, was Western Canada's first AAA 5 diamond rated restaurant. The Primrose is not the fine dining experience that Eden is, but it is a top-notch restaurant for those looking for an unpretentious but delicious meal. The Primrose is on the floor below the lobby, and it has floor to ceiling windows with some of Banff's best mountain views. The Primrose serves breakfast and dinner. This restaurant is an ALTO award winner for the quality of its service. They do a great job of quality control. And, the food is always well-prepared. In fact, the New York steak, made with Alberta beef, is one of the best I've ever had (and, Albertans are notorious steak-snobs). There are lots of menu options and also a buffet. If you're staying at the Rimrock and are looking for a good restaurant without the price of Eden, the Primrose is the best bet.
