Whiskey Creek is a small, mostly residential area in the town of Banff. Banff Avenue is the main road in town, and it runs past Whiskey Creek. There's nothing particularly noteworthy about Whiskey Creek.
Mount Norquay is a small ski hill just outside of Banff. It's a short drive from Whiskey Creek. The hill itself is nothing special compared to Sunshine or Lake Louise, but it is still a fun place to ski, especially if you don't want to drive far.
Not far from Whiskey Creek is the main commercial center of Banff, aka Banff Avenue. On Banff Avenue there is an eclectic assortment of shops and restaurants. The candy store, Welch's Chocolate Shop, is a favorite and is filled from the floor to the ceiling with candy. The Spirit of Christmas is 5,000 square foot store dedicated to Christmas decorations and souvenirs. There's even a large stuffed bear to take pictures next to! Other notable stores are Monod Sports and the Fudgery. It's about a 10-20 minute walk to Banff Ave from Whiskey Creek.
The Banff Centre is up Tunnel Mountain a ways from downtown. It's not hard to get to from Whiskey Creek, although it would be a bit of a hike. This is the center for performing arts in the Rocky Mountains. It also has a recreation center, the Sally Borden Fitness & Recreation building, which is the only one in Banff.
The nearest spa to Whiskey Creek is the Red Earth Spa, located in the Banff Caribou Lodge on Banff Avenue.
