Hotels Near Airport in Banff
The nearest airport to Banff is in Calgary, which is about 130 kilometers away. Most travelers either have a car or rent a car to get there. But, others use shuttle service from the airport to the hotel in Banff. Travelers can find private shuttles, express shuttles, and ski shuttles. Door to door service makes this method of transport very convenient. There are also many shuttles in Banff to take skiers from their hotels to ski hills and other attractions.
Since all the Banff hotels are a long way from the airport, there are no "airport hotels". But, shuttle service is plentiful to Banff Ave. hotels as well as the resorts, such as the Banff Springs and the Rimrock. Many of the ski shuttles, though, pick up in the downtown area. So, it's advisable to pick a hotel that's central, if you have ski equipment and no car. The Fox and Caribou are nice hotels at a reasonable price, and they are close to the main part of town.
