Getting out to the back-country, where the hoards of tourists can't come along, is the best way to enjoy the mountains. Warner provides day trips and also longer camping trips by horseback. Other companies, such as Brewster and Canadian Adventure Centre, also have horseback riding options.

The Banff Springs Golf Course is world-famous for a good reason. Very few golf courses have the same quality of mountain scenery and the quality of the greens and fairways. This course has hosted a lot of big golf tournaments over the years, and it's one of the few courses in Canada to be in the video games! It's a fun experience to golf with deer and elk in the gallery.

A trip to Banff National Park is not complete without a trip to Lake Louise. This is both a beautiful natural setting and a recreation wonderland. There's a lot to do around Lake Louise, including skiing, hiking, skating, canoeing, dog sledding, etc. But, Moraine Lake is the more beautiful of the mountain lakes, and it should not be ignored.
