The tourist heartland of Kuta is one filled with hotels, restaurants and bars catering to the growing needs of the ever-present tourists. You will easily find what suits your taste-buds here, be it Chinese, Japanese, International cuisine or even some authentic Balinese food. For a start, there is Warung Made at both Kuta and Seminyak. This restaurant serves freshly made traditional Indonesian food, and has now even expanded to serve Japanese and International food. The price is cheap and value for money. Then there is also Rosso Vivo, serving International food right by the beachfront of Kuta. The restaurant features a pool for both diners and hotel guests alike, and can make for quite an excellent place for a hip candle-lit dinner.
For Japanese, there are several great options around the area. The famed Ryoshi is unfortunately located elsewhere, in Seminyak, but here we have two excellent options - Bluefin Fusion and Sushi Tei. Bluefin is a little more pricey compared to Sushi Tei, but the food they serve reflects the price, adding a touch of European fusion into the traditional Japanese fare. Both restaurants however, boasts excellent sushi and sake.
