While not technically in Waterville, it splits the distance between it and the neighboring town, Oakland. This cafe started in 1990 as a roadside vegetable stand and has expanded along with its popularity to an indoor market and cafe with outdoor seating, open seasonally, to a year-round restaurant and market stocked with locally sourced food. This place is Popular with a capital 'p', so be sure to call in if you would like to eat during the busiest times. If you are not in the mood for a full meal, or if it's a little warm outside for your taste, stop into the market for a little homemade Italian gelato, the best in the area.
