Award winning Auckland International YHA is in a good location (it's all downhill to town) in the CBD and has all the major amenities for the budget traveller. There's a Sky TV lounge, a quiet lounge, pool table, bicycle hire, kitchen and laundry facilities plus there is WiFi throught the building so you can use your computer in the bedrooms.There are two YHAs in the CBD so don't get confused. The other one is the Auckland City YHA and is further up the hill on City Road and Liverpool Street.
