It's frustratingly difficult to get down to the Harbour Bridge for a really good look, and there have been talks going on for years about developing an attractive waterfront area right on the water down there for years. Until then, we'll just have to look at the Harbour Bridge from a distance. There are a couple of good seafood restaurants in the marinas which will be your best bet for views with fish (on your plate, that is!).Check out Sails and Swashbucklers, or even head up to Mollies. Mollies is really a very nice B & B, but they do lovely food in a setting with a view. After that, the next best thing is to get in amongst all the activity at the Viaduct Harbour bar and restaurant scene. You'll find everything from cafe food, which you'll find at Mecca, to trendy Pacific Rim dining, which can be had at Kermadec, Soul Bar and The Waterfront Cafe. For specifically New Zealand grown and highlighted food check out The Foodstore. And there are also various ethnic food choices such as Pankawalla for Indian, Kanpai for Japanese and Portofino fo Italian.
