The best thing about Auckland's CBD is that it is compact and walkable yet there are still lots of nooks and crannies to discover. A good idea is to start at the top of the hill on Karangahape Road, or K' Road as it's known here, and work your way down. On K' Road, you can do some unique shopping for souvenirs or second hand goods, have a coffe in a great cafe, or check out the nightlife. Walk straight down Queen Street, Auckland's main thoroughfare, to begin the rest of the journey. At the top of the hill, you will find a good pie shop in amongst the mini-Koreatown. If you fancy some bulgogi, this is the place for it. Continue walking downhill and you will get to Aotea Square to check out what is going on or just have a sit down amongst the pigeons and local business workers. Veer left-ish (just look up!) and you'll arrive at the Sky tower area will all the attractions that has to offer. Finally you will end up down on the waterfront where you can hang out at the Viaduct, or do a bridge climb...or just jump off the bridge on a bungy. It's up to you!
