Outside the city Hotels in Auckland

Auckland has a multitude of choices for accommodation within the city centre, or the CBD (central business district) as we know it, but what if you want to stay outside of the main thoroughfare? Perhaps you just want a bit more quiet around your accommodation so the kids can run around outside. Maybe you want to be at the beach, or on an island, or maybe you just want to be way out in the bush. Any of these is possible. The important thing about choosing the location of your accommodation is transport. If we are honest, New Zealand is not really known for its spectacular public transport. If you are staying in the CBD or the suburbs, you may be OK although it is sometimes difficult to get from one suburb to another if you need to. The CBD itself is walkable, so no need to worry there as long as you can get in. If you want to stay more remotely, some guesthouses will offer airport pickups, but then you may need to hire a car to get around from there. It's just something to be aware of and rest assured that there are all ranges of car hire available if this makes your accommodation choices easier.
