Auckland is a unique city in a unique country so it stands to reason that you will find lots of cool things to do here. Due to the fact that Kiwis are very outdoorsy you'll have the best time if you play like we do. That means taking advantage of the New Zealand landscape and climbing volcanoes, bungy jumping, or just plain enjoying the scenic beauty from a height. And speaking of volcanoes, some of our major attractions are the volcanoes. You can climb, explore, run a race, or just have a picnic all with an amazing view you won't see anywhere else. You also won't want to miss walking on feet-cooking sand at one of our black sand beaches or flinging yourself off of something high, like the Harbour Bridge where you can do a bungy jump. Heck, you can even jump off the Sky Tower if you're that way inclined. And if you like the cold you can do some indoor skiing. Even if you visit in summer, at least you can say that you've skied in the Land of the Long White Cloud. That's one way to confuse those back at home who can't figure out if it's winter or summer down here.
