Known also as SEF for its Greek name, Stadio Erinis & Filias, this stadium was built in 1983 and hosts a wide array of athletic events, such as wrestling, gymnastics, table tennis, and, most famously, is the home to the popular Basketball team, Olympiakos. It was used in 2004 for the Volleyball tournament after a 7.3 million euro upgrade.Easiest access is to take the tram to the Faliro station, or the Line One metro to the Faliro stop (underneath the Karaskiaki Stadium across the avenue) or tram line 1 (from Athens) and 3 (from Glyfada) to the SEF stop.
