Description:
Now for something a little more recent: modern Athens (late 19th and early 20th century). Glimpse into Athenian history, culture and life as you tour the mansion that was home to the first royal couple of Greece, Otto and Amalia. Fascinating is the 1842 1:1000 scale model of Athens. Located in between Omonia and Syntagma squares. The closest metro stop is Panepistimio (Korai exit). Other points of interest are the National Library, The University of Athens and the Academy of Athens and the National History Museum (Old Parliament).
