Tramezzini's slogan is the place for gourmet street food. The restaurant is a franchise and used to have a second location in Kolonaki that has since closed, leaving the newer restaurant on Mnisikleous Street the sole source for the little gourmet sandwiches rolled in tidily in slices of sandwich bread, all around €2. Other offerings include salads, bruschettas, hot pita sandwiches, cakes and baked goods, and of course coffee, tea, and fresh fruit smoothies.The place is a sure thing for friendly service and an upbeat soundtrack, mostly a classy mix of jazz standards. At night the lights are dimmed and patrons take advantage of the shop's excellent wine selection, paired perfectly with a plate of Italian meats and cheeses.
